The UK Shadow Minister asked the government what representations he has made to his counterpart in the Moroccan Government on the detention of Ahmed Aliouat.

The UK Parliament has asked the government what representations he has made to his counterpart in the Moroccan Government on the detention of Ahmed Aliouat, said Today the Shadow Minister (Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) (Civil Society) and member of United Kingdom parlament. 

The Shadow Minister (Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) (Civil Society)  and Labour/Co-operative MP sent written questions, to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office on the on the arbitrary detention of Ahmed Aliouat.

In his reply to the questions, Alistair BurtMinister of State (Department for International Development) (Jointly with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office) said that the “We are aware of the case of Ahmed Aliouat but have not raised it specifically with the Moroccan Government. We regularly discuss a wide range of issues, including human rights, with the Moroccan authorities, and will raise individual cases where there are grounds to do so.”
